Still Wines
Monmousseau is a specialist in the production of fine sparkling wines from Touraine but equally distributes Loire Valley still wines that it has sourced and matured.
The wines are carefully aged in the company’s cellars and blended according to the production secrets of our Cellar Master.
The elaboration of still wines involves four main steps :
1. Wine sourcing:

For every appellation included within our portfolio we buy wines from several winegrowers selected according to the following criteria :
- the notion of terroir and the production of true appellation wines,
- the vine and winegrowing expertise of the producer,
- the standard of quality of the vintner’s winegrowing equipment.
We decide to definitively order a wine after a barrel tasting at the property.
2. Maturing :
The wines are then placed in our cellars where they are matured, blended and then bottled.
3. Blending :
This procedure allows the merchant to fully express his talent. Blending optimizes the true characteristics of the different wines by uniting them together.
